Autumn Workshop Schedule

dream … dare … discover … delight!

Urban Art … Monday, September 20th … BVSD in-service day … 5 – 9 years

Play around with graffiti lettering and techniques; create tag “spray” paintings and design posters and stickers that express your artist’s passions, interests and ideas!

11 am – 2:30 pm (bring a sack lunch) … $60 (materials included)

Dia de los Muertos … Sunday, September 26th … 1 – 4 pm … 4 – 9 years

Discover the sacred Mexican holiday through art! Create traditional Bandera de Calaca’s (colorful banners), out of fabric and ink; sculpt authentic Calacas (skull masks) and build a very special Ofrendas (alter) to keep.

1 – 4 pm … $60 (materials included)

Spooky Creations … Sunday, October 10th … 4 – 9 years

Create hob goblins and ravens; imagine and make shivering moon-lit mobiles, screeching banshees, creeping black cats and naughty witches. Get in to the spirit of the season!

Halloween Shivaree! … Sunday, October 31st … 4 – 9 years

Celebrate Halloween at Clementine Studio. Munch popcorn and sip cider as artists decorate a jack-o-lantern to take home, stitch a bean bag ghost and imagine, paint and print all kinds of haunting images…

1 – 3 pm … $35 (materials included) … come dressed for the occasion!

Native Art Forms … Thursday, November 11th … BVSD in-service day … 5 -9 years

Explore art forms from various indigenous cultures. Design a leg rattle used in Cheyenne and Arapaho Indian ceremonies; sculpt a clay pot totem that tells a story or recounts a memorable event inspired by the tribes of the Pacific Northwest. Carve and create ink prints based on images and forms from the Inuit’s.

Thanksgiving Break Camp … Holiday Gift Extravaganza … 4 – 9 years

Monday, November 22nd – Wednesday, November 24th

By popular demand! Artists will work on a series of projects designed with the upcoming holiday season in mind including a very special series of Andy Warhol self-portraits; watercolor pieces using the pointillism technique and Degas inspired cloth chalk drawings. Sure to be special keepsakes for years to come!

Clementine’s Annual Cookie Decorating Party!

Sunday, December 12th … 1 – 2:30 … 4 – 9 years

Children will spread, sprinkle (and sample) their way through a dozen seasonal butter cookies in time to take home and share for the winter break holiday. They will also paint and embellish a container to store them in.
