Imagine and Create for Tots and Young Artists
Ages 20 months – 12 years
A hands-on, multi-media program allowing for the independent exploration of age appropriate materials and techniques in an inspiring and nurturing environment. Paint with bright temperas and juicy watercolors using unique & traditional tools; explore collage- cut, tear, drizzle and paste; experiment with creamy pastels; build sculptures using wood, clay and much more!
Fall morning options for ages 20 months – 5 years:
Moms, Pops and Tots: 20 months – 36 months

Art Explorations: 3 – 5 years
Wednesdays … 10 – 11:15 am

Young Artist Studio Sampler: Impressionism/Expressionism … 9 – 12 years
Mondays … 4 – 5:30 pm … Note: This class begins September 13th
This class is designed for the student who is interested in more advanced artistic studies and challenges. Artists will explore a wide range of techniques and materials through projects inspired by the art of the Impressionism and Expressionism movements.

The Magical Realm of Harry Potter … 5 – 9 years
Tuesdays … 4 – 5:30 pm
Come all ye witches and wizards! Build Hogwarts castle and the magical characters that live there; create a 3-D mythical creature; design and make your very own wizard robe, hat and wand to wear and sketch and develop your own spell and potion book.

Self-Exploration thru Sculpture … 5 – 9 years
Wednesdays … 4 – 5:30 pm
Build a life-sized sculpture using found and recycled materials; sit for a life-mask out of plaster; experiment with different techniques using wood, metal and clay.

The Amazing World of Charley Harper … 5 – 9 years
Thursdays … 4 – 5:30 pm
Experience the natural world of Charley Harper. Create paintings, prints and collages inspired by Harper’s vibrant and exciting works.

Class Information and Policies
*$25 materials fee due at registration
Monthly Payment Option
Clementine Studio offers a monthly payment plan for our families. Fall session requires four monthly payments due on the first of each month.
Tots and Siblings classes require a caregiver for children ages 20 – 36 months.
Fall Schedule:
All classes begin the week of September 7th except for The Young Artist Studio Sampler which will begin on September 13th. Clementine Studio follows the BVSD calendar. Please note that we will be closed for our MORNING and EARLY afternoon classes on Monday, September 20th and Thursday, November 11th. Students in normally scheduled classes on those dates may attend another appropriate class in that week or make up the class at our Sunday Art Play Program. Please speak with staff to schedule. Clementine Studio will be closed for all regular classes the week of November 22nd for the Thanksgiving holiday.
Registration:
We are currently registering for the fall session. You may reserve your artist’s space with the $25 materials fee.

What to Expect:
Clementine Studio is a process oriented school providing arts enrichment. We work with a wide variety of non-toxic materials- the majority of which will wash out readily. However, as art exploration is a messy business we ask that you send your child dressed in clothing that you will not mind being embellished as a successful day is usually a messy day! We do not advocate aprons for our students as we want them to relish and embrace the full experience.
Snack
Clementine Studio does offer a snack of pretzels for our artists and access to artesian water. If your child has an allergy to gluten please be sure to provide an alternative.
Pro-Rating:
We welcome students to join in after the session has begun providing there is space in the class. We are happy to pro-rate tuition accordingly.
Make-Up Policy:
Make-ups can be made during our Sunday Art Play Program offered most Sunday’s (excluding the summer session) from 10 am – Noon.
Reservations are required.
Inclement Weather
In case of inclement weather, Clementine Studio follows BVSD’s lead in closing. Please check either their website or appropriate news stations.
